Zimmermann was founded in Sydney in 1991 by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann and is particularly known for swimwear, dresses and resort collections. Advent International acquired a majority stake in August 2023 in a deal valuing the company at A$1.5-1.75 billion, with previous majority owner Style Capital retaining a minority holding. The brand operates dozens of stores across Australia, the US, the UK and Europe alongside wholesale placement at retailers such as Harrods and Net-a-Porter.
