The house in brief
Gucci was founded in 1921 when Guccio Gucci opened his first store in Florence, where the house remains headquartered, and it joined Kering in 1999. Known for leather goods icons such as the Horsebit 1953 loafer, Jackie 1961 handbag and Bamboo 1947 line, the house entered a new chapter in 2025 with Demna as Artistic Director and Francesca Bellettini as President and CEO.
